Website Description : Ancestral Collections was created by Lady Victoria Leatham in 1994, based at her ancestral home, Burghley House, in the historic market town of Stamford in Lincolnshire. The original idea being to develop a range of items copied directly from various collections held in Britain`s stately homes. Over the years ideas have been taken from famous houses including Knebworth (a Burne-Jones print), Elton Hall (a silver gilt salt container and spoon), Castle Howard (potter trump boxes) and, of course, artifacts from Burghley House itself (the Burghley charger). Ancestral Collections is now part of the successful Scotts & Co group of companies and, having moved from Burghley House in 2007, are now housed in listed buildings still within the estate. Whether you are looking for interesting and elegant accessories for the home, practical items for the garden or mouthwatering jewellery, Ancestral Collections has it all.
